On May 11th, 2024, Ally and Derek tied the knot in a stunning spring celebration at the breathtaking Stonewall Estates under the most beautiful spring showers. Nestled alongside the serene 16 Mile Creek, this venue offered the perfect backdrop for their vintage boho-themed wedding. With its rustic barns, vibrant gardens, and panoramic views, it’s no wonder this location felt like a fairy tale come to life.
The day brought some light rain, but it only added a touch of romance to the celebration. Ally, Derek, and their guests embraced the weather, focusing on the love and joy of the moment rather than the drizzle.
The Venue: Stonewall Estates Stonewall Estates is a gem of a wedding venue, blending natural beauty with timeless charm. The ceremony space, perched above the picturesque 16 Mile Creek, provided a magical setting for Ally and Derek to exchange their vows. Surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle sounds of nature, their ceremony was nothing short of enchanting. As a licensed wedding officiant and designated minister in Ontario, Catherine approaches weddings, commitment ceremonies, and other life events with an open-minded, client-focused perspective. She believes that everyone deserves to celebrate their most significant moments in a way that reflects their unique beliefs and values—whether religious, interfaith, or entirely non-religious.

The Theme: Vintage Boho Elegance Ally and Derek’s wedding day was a perfect reflection of their personalities and love story. The vintage boho theme came to life with the help of Simply Beautiful Decor, who created a romantic ambiance with soft, spring tones, flowing fabrics, and delicate accents. Fae and Folk Florals added the finishing touches with whimsical floral arrangements featuring beautiful greens, dried blooms, and fresh spring flowers.
Special Moments The day was filled with heartfelt and unforgettable moments. One of the highlights was Ally’s emotional first look with her dad. As he saw his daughter in her breathtaking gown for the first time, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
Another standout moment was Ally and Derek’s show-stopping first dance. Channeling the iconic scene from Dirty Dancing, they wowed their guests with a perfectly executed lift that had everyone cheering. It was a fun and memorable way to kick off the evening festivities.
